Ships Ahoy

Location Based, Programming, Unity

Ships Ahoy was a location based interactive experience which incorporated Improvisational Acting, physical interfaces, and an immersive environment.

Platform: Motion floor, PS Move

Role: Project architecture, gameplay programming, programming the motion floor

 Our guests with the paddle equipped with PS Move controller for steering the ship.

 The guests enjoyed singing, which was the main mechanic for gaining speed boosts and launching cannonballs. I worked in a team of five to deliver the experience for the Entertainment Technology Center - Fall Festival in 3 weeks.  My responsibilities included:  - Architecture for the project  - Programming the speech recognition (which was changed to volume detection)  - Algorithms for synchronizing song lyrics with in game events  - Programming the motion floor
